3. Smell the Flowers Lecture: Montgomery Parks speaker series Foodie Fridays returns today with researcher Michael Roswell. Learn about the important role of pollinators in agriculture and local food systems while identifying insects and exploring pollination biology during Roswell’s hands-on lecture. Tickets cost $15. 4. Outdoor Movies: Bethesda’s outdoor movies return Friday at the corner of Norfolk and Auburn Avenues at Woodmont Triangle with a screening of ‘Men in Black’ at 9 p.m.
5. Friday Night Salsa Dancing: Pike District in North Bethesda hosts a Latin dance party led by All Out Danza on the last Friday night of each month from 6 to 9 p.m., through September 27. The event starts with free Latin dancing lessons and takes place at Pike District Pop-Up Park, 5701 Marinelli Rd. in North Bethesda.
And One More Thing: All Montgomery County outdoor pools close at 6:30 p.m. Saturday for staff training. Typically, the pools stay open until 8 p.m.
