1. Council Committee Meetings: Three council committees meet today. The Transportation and Environment and the Government Operations committees hold a joint work session today at 9:30 a.m.
The Planning, Housing and Parks committee meets at 2:30 p.m. for an update on Accessory Dwelling Unit production.

2. Council President Briefing: Council President Andrew Friedson will hold his weekly media briefing at 11:30 a.m. today. He will discuss two proposed bills up for a vote at Tuesday’s Council meeting. Watch the briefing live on the Council’s Facebook page here.
3. New ‘ePlans’ Software Launch: The Department of Permitting Services launches an updated version of ePlans, the software customers use to submit plans electronically. Customer training is available on Monday, Aug. 5 and Tuesday, Aug. 6. Training videos are available on the DPS website.
4. Municipal Monday: The Gaithersburg Mayor and Council do not meet today. The Rockville Mayor and Council meet at 7 p.m. for a regular session. The agenda may be found online here.
5. Olympian Thea LaFond: MCM presents a documentary on world #1 triple jumper and Montgomery County native Thea LaFond who granted MCM unprecedented access for her preparation for the Paris Olympics.
