The Montgomery County Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security (OEMHS) invites residents to the “Ready Montgomery Seminar” at the Wheaton Community Recreation Center, Saturday, Sept. 7, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event, aimed at enhancing community preparedness, will teach participants to actively contribute to their safety and that of others during emergencies or disasters.
The seminar, held at 11701 Georgia Ave., will feature hands-on training sessions on Narcan administration, hands-only CPR, and emergency planning. Participants aged 14 and older must register to attend. Register for the Ready Montgomery Seminar here.
OEMHS Director Luke Hodgson emphasized that the training will empower residents with essential skills for effective response during unexpected events.
The seminar is held in partnership with the Montgomery County Medical Reserve Corps (MRC).
